Petitto Meets Ms. Akie Abe, Wife of Japanese Prime Minister

On February 10, 2017, Professor Laura-Ann Petitto had the wonderful honor of meeting the Prime Minister of Japan’s wife, Ms. Akie Abe, while Ms. Abe visited Gallaudet University. Ms. Abe gave a very moving presentation on peace and invited Professor Petitto and others at the meeting to discuss how to provide contexts that empower women in today’s world.
